Hi,
I’ve got some pretty cool personal trainers Toronto content for you today.
We like to do things a little different here at Evolution Fitness, and a couple of weeks ago we held a very special client appreciation event that included a unique awards ceremony.
You see, we’re very proud of all our personal trainers Toronto trainees, and wherever possible, we like to recognize them for their achievements.
What I’d like to do for you is share a little bit about each award winner and give you at least one tip, or lesson from each success story on how they are changing their lives, which you can then take and apply in your own life to help you get that much closer to creating your own fitness success story.
Personally, I love hearing success stories, and learning about what successful people do.
I find it really motivating and inspiring, plus when you’re constantly focused on success you get more…well, success!
Kristyna Star, Most Dedicated Award

“I’m not gonna eat chicken breast and yams six times a day, and I still have to be able to go out and enjoy myself!”
I still remember Krystina telling me that the first time we met. I listened, smiled, and said “ok.”
The reality is, if you want long-term success with your fitness program you need to change your lifestyle. That being said, it’s about balance. Unless you are a competitive bodybuilder, being too extreme with your program is a flawed strategy that will backfire in the end. Hey, we’re people – we gotta live!
The Personal Trainers Toronto “Most Dedicated” award was chosen based on record of attendance, not missing workouts, overall program compliance, and performing training sessions at the appropriate intensity.
Krystina gets an “A” in all of these, and not surprisingly, she’s lost 25lbs. on our program.
What her secret? In a word, being disciplined to a schedule.
You see, as a busy executive, Krystina does not get a lot of free time…the key to her not missing workouts is simply to schedule them, and then stick to that schedule. She says, “if it’s on the calendar, and it’s scheduled, then it’s like an appointment that I would have for work, and it’s something I can’t miss.”
I’ll be frank, that’s how I do it too. When I plan out my week, the first thing that goes in my calendar is my workouts, and I treat it like any other appointment I would have with a client. Do you think I miss workouts? It happens, but it’s extremely rare.
Most of you reading this would NEVER miss an appointment for work, so why not keep an appointment with yourself? I mean, think about it…what’s more important than your health? The simple act of keeping this appointment, even just 3 days a week, can make all the difference when it comes to preserving your most valuable resource: YOU.
Jason Marshall, Most Improved Award

This one was kind of a “no brainer” to us. It went to the personal trainers Toronto trainee who faced the biggest lifestyle challenges, implemented the most significant changes, and therefore experienced the most dramatic results.
A friend, when Jason first walked through the door he tipped the scales at a massive 343 lbs, in fear for his health – and his life. Having lost almost 70 lbs. in six months (43 lbs. in the first 16 weeks), he is in a very different place today.
He shared that as a big guy, and a former athlete, his ego was his downfall whenever it came to starting a fitness program. Wanting to believe his abilities were greater than they were, he just tried to do too much, too soon, and frequently ended up burnt out, discouraged, or worse, with an injury.
The reason for his success is that this time Jason understands that he needs to be different. How? First, it’s a long term plan to be fit, and you gotta take it one step at a time. Second, you have to get outside your comfort zone to see progress. If your usual pattern is that you stop when things get tough, try it a different way, and keep going instead!
Bottom line, if you want a different outcome, you have to be a different YOU.
A touching moment for everyone was Jason saying that “this is probably the best thing I’ve ever done, to tell you the truth. If it weren’t for this program, I might not be here today, so thank you.” (Watch the video!)
Personal Trainers Toronto Awards Ceremony Highlights
Thank you Jason for inspiring us with your success, and remember – we’re just gettin’ started, pal!
Paul Perri, Client Of The Year
The Personal Trainers Toronto Client of the Year award has elements of the previous two, dedication, major changes, excellent results, but also reflected devotion to our program in the form of support, feedback, and referrals.
As a national director for a tech company, Paul has a lot of responsibilities, but has consistently gone out of his way to help us improve our program and grow our business. For that we are grateful.
The thing that stands out most about Paul is his level of commitment. Right from the beginning he decided it was BIG change he was after.
He had tried other programs in the past (and other personal trainers in Toronto) and been disapointed with the results. He knew his approach needed to be holistic, and include both nutrition and training protocols.
That’s where we came in.
In his own words: “I’ve worked with a lot of trainers in the past and didn’t get results. What I like about you guys is the education – I like to understand why I’m doing things.”
His secret? Paul does a little something every day that brings him closer to his goal. It’s not always a big, intense workout – even 30 minutes of walking or jogging will do the trick. It’s that daily focus, as much as the time that he spends with us that is responsible for his success. Every little bit counts, something is still better than nothing. It could be that little bit of light cardio, or saying no to that piece of cake at an office birthday party (which in Paul’s case is much less likely). : ) Regardless, get that daily victory.
As you can see from his photos, that mindset has served him well. Having lost 20lbs. and 6% bodyfat, Paul has a new body today.

Dream big, commit big, and take consistent daily action toward the goal. That’s what I’ve learned from Paul Perri.
Final Thoughts
If there is a common thread in these personal trainers Toronto success stories, it’s that each award winner has taken the time, and made the effort to adopt new, supportive habits around eating and exercise.
Your body and your health is a direct reflection of your beliefs and habits concerning food, working out, and your own worthiness. Anyone can have a lean, fit body, you just have to have the right habits.
Changing your habits is not always easy, but it can be very doable if you have the right guidance, education, support, and accountability.
If you want real, lasting change in 2010, we’re here to help. We’ve helped hundreds of people just like you change their lives through fitness, and we want you to be our next success story.
That’s why I really hope you’ll call me at (416) 220-7883 to discuss all that is possible for you to achieve, and schedule your complimentary personal trainers Toronto health and fitness consultation.
Happy Holidays everyone,
Conor Kelly
